The grass is always greener on the other side!
The grass is always greener on the other side is the idiom of today! The meaning is really interesting and I believe might be an idiom similar or with the same meaning in your language!
So, the meaning is you always want what you don't have or it can mean the life of someone else is better than yours.
For example: you have a friend who will live in another country to work for a while. So, who wouldn't like to live this experience?! Then, in this case you could say the grass is greener on the other side!
The original meaning of this comes from the situation when a person would stare at your grass and to have an impression that yours is greener than his, moreover better.
There are variations of it. You can say just "the grass is greener on the other side" and also "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence".
Any questions?!
