Dead wrong! I have heard it many times and i think you must have heard that too!


Anyway, the word "dead" is about die, decease. Actually is an adjective when you wanna say someone died, then, this one is dead.


The other meaning is very, completely, exactly. 


So, dead wrong is an idiom which means completely wrong. When you say someone is dead wrong, it means this one is completely wrong!
