Give Up!

Give Up! So common phrasal which means desist from something, lose the hope for, admit defeat, stop doing.

For example: We gave up on writting a novel.

We had given the dog up as lost.

There is a music by Jason Mraz called I won't give up and there is one part which says: (link here)

"I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough"

It means basically that he will not lose his hope for them. He will not give up.
