Pick up ;)

Pick up is the last phrasal verb of this personal challenge which started on last sunday. Anyway, the last one of this sequence! :'(

Let's skip this fit of crying and focus on meanings!

Meanings:
To take something up by hand. Ex: I picked a book up.

One day I was in a hat store and I heard people saying Oh, I am gonna pick some hats up! So, is exactly take up by hand or pick up.

To tidy up. Ex: I picked up my bedroom.

There are informal uses which can also mean to buy, claim, acquire knowledge by learning or experience.

Ex: I went to supermarket and picked up some fruits.

I picked up my holidays.

He picked up French very quickly.

~~
I hope you liked this sequence and learned a couple of more verbs. If you have any question of any of them, write for me. Suggestions are welcome too!
