To Hold In!

Hey!

Have you heard "I never told you" by Colbie Caillat?! 

I asked because she used the phrasal verb of today: Hold In!

Well, to hold means like catch or take. However, when you say hold in it means curb, control, conceal and restrain(feelings).

For example:

We should have held our emotions in.
