Cut off!
Cut off! I heard it listening to Somebody that I used to know by Gotye, Link here.
Cut off means to separate from others, isolate, stop suddenly, break the line of communication of, make a break in.
For example: Our call was cut off by the operator.
Students cut off Rachel of the party in the weekend.
The program was cut off for the following messages.
It can also mean amputate, cut plants.
For example: The doctor noticed there was nothing to do, but cut a limb off.
Lisa likes to cut off the plants.
