Get At!

Get at has a lot of meanings. One of them is to touch or reach successfully.

For example: We looked for the cat, but we couldn't get at it.

Another meaning is to try to make understandable. The example means "I don't know what you're trying to say."

For example: I don't know what you're getting at.

.. And the other is to understand or discover.

Ex: We gotta get at the cause of the problem.

Did you get at it?! ;)
