Ahead!

I have never done any post about verbs with "ahead", so here it is!

  • Bring Ahead
It means to invite. A synonymous is to bring with.
For example: My friends were throwing a party and I called them to ask if I could bring along a friend.
My grandma is having a BBQ on saturday and she told me to bring along some friend.

  • Go Ahead
It means to proceed, to keep doing what you've done.
For example: The construction of the nuclear power station went ahead despite the protests from locals.

  • Forge Ahead
It means to make a lot of progress in a short time.
For example: The students had to forge ahead before the class finish.
The employees have been forging ahead to get the work done before the deadline.

  • Get Ahead
It means to make progress, improve one's life, make financial progress.
For example: John works in two jobs to try to get ahead.

Got everything?! If not, please, write questions down and I'll answer them with pleasure!
