Prepositions!

New label!

That's the very first time talking about prepositions! There are a lot of them in English and today we are going to talk about time prepositions.
  • At
It is used to say what time or what part of the day or night.
For example: Julie arrived at her office at 8 o'clock. She left the office at noon to have luch and came back at 2:30pm. Then, after work she went home and watched TV at night. She felt asleep at midnight.

  • On
It is used to talk about the day something happened.
For example: Petter flew on monday, May 16th. He went to his hometown to visit his mother on Mother's Day. He is going to come back on Saturday.

  • In
This one is used to talk about month, year, morning, afternoon, evening, century and season, like summer, winter, etc.
For example: Rachel has breakfast in the morning. She likes to eat cookies in the afternoon and have dinner in the evening. She was born in 1978 and in the 20th century. In July she is going to travel around.
We are in the summer. In the thirties the weather wasn't as hot as nowadays.
