Take Off



The phrasal verb Take Off has a looot of meanings!

One of them is to to remove clothes.
For example: Right after Daniel got in his house, he took off his wet shoes and jacket.

Another meaning is to rise into the air.
For example: The airplane took off right on time.

It also means to deduct as a discount.
For example: The first 100 customers took 30 percent off clothes.

And last bur lot least, to go off or leave. This one is more of a slang.
For example: The children took off 5 minutes ago to go to school.
